My neighbour Susan and Friend1969 was an amazing year to be in. I was just getting ready to leave the sixth and go to my first proper job, a five-year apprenticeship in a big engineering firm. For a couple of years now I had babysat for our neighbour Susan while her and Linda who were about the same age 22 or 24 when to one of the many pubs around our area at that time. Susan?s husband worked away from home on the North Sea oil rigs so these two made the most every Saturday.
