Part 103b Davy continues the story Fort's leapt up; the two teddies he was grasping with the pillow fell to the bed. `Davy' He looked awful; probably as bad as me. He slowly got up and came towards me. He went to hug me; I stepped back. `Fort's we need to talk first' His arms dropped to his sides and he nodded his head. `Shall we sit by the window? I began walking towards the small table and chairs; My heart chewed at me; but I had to be strong. Fort's nodded and followed me; the carpet was still damp from the spilt tea from earlier. I sat down and looked at him; his face scanning mine for any signs of what I was going to say; I had to keep my poker face on. `I'm glad you came to talk' He didn't take his eyes off me and gave a little smile; I mustn't respond; not to his smile. `Are you sure you want to hear what I have to say?' `I am hoping so' `Fort's this is serious' I shook my head; his smile vanished and he looked at the table. His voice barely a whisper `So, we are finished' He stood up; his bottom lip visibly quivering; biting it as he turned away. `Okay, I will speak to Dad and move out to another room' With that his voice failed and he began to sob. `Sorry, I never meant to hurt you' His voice continued to break up as he struggled to pull himself together `I had hoped we could sort it out' I still hadn't said a word. He walked to the bed and picked up both of the teddies, he kissed mine and then turned and handed it to me; I could feel the dampness from his tears as I took it. I finally spoke `So, you don't want to hear what I have to say then? `You said you had made your mind up' `No, you said that: not me. I said, it was serious and we had to talk, but if you don't want to hear what I have to say? `Davy, if you're only going to tell me what a fucking idiot I am, like everyone else; I know already' I started to walk to the door `If you had just paused for breath you might have heard what I was going to say' I turned the door handle and opened the door; a figure was blocking my way, I stepped back as they stepped forward. `Marcus? He took a deep breath, his eyes wet with tears `Now I know I shouldn't have been listening, but I am not letting you two part, until you speak to each other civilly and listen to what each other has to say. Please don't throw away all you have, just because talking and listening is not easy; I made that mistake and have regretted it ever since' I looked round at Forts, Marcus spoke again, this time pointing at Fort's `What is wrong with you? We both nodded, he returned and placed down the tray with a new teapot and cups; he smiled at both of us and turned to walk back to his room; stopping by the bed he picked up both of the teddies and sat them next to each other just under the sheets; he turned, smiled and left. ** Colin continues the story I couldn't believe it; Ron had made Mr Grand and Mr Davidson both cum on the floor. It was difficult to read what Dima was thinking. `I will leave for London, to be with my sister in a few days, but first I am waiting for something to arrive' Dad looked `Is it that important? Dima nodded, `Something for Niki; I treated him very badly, it should be here soon, I will leave after I give it to him' Davy looked at me; like Dad I was in the dark, I had no idea, what Dima was talking about. Dad stood `Well, I was thinking of us all having a little party in Niki's honour, maybe you can give it to him then? Dima stood to attention and clicked his heels `Yes Sir, that would be very kind of you' `Oh Dima, I have one more request, well invitation really. You know it was my intention to be one of the few private boys schools offering a Russian language course, well, the teacher I had in mind has fallen through, and I know your achieving amazing things with Forts and Davy; Would you consider becoming the new Russian Language teacher? Of course, I was at the farm house; Oh, my head, McPhee and I had sat long into the night, finishing off the bottle we started in the baths. McPhee snuggled back onto me. `Hey enough of that, up you get, we have to get back to the Castle' I kissed his head and threw back the covers; he let out a great howl and pulled them back tightly round his neck. I got all the horses some fresh hay and a scoup of oats, I was just about to start re filling the water troughs when McPhee appeared. `Afternoon' `Oh, God, my head; you got me drunk' `Well, it wasn't me who took advantage of you' I gave a little smile and adjusted the rear of my kilt, unsticking it. `Come on let's get them all ready to go' ** Gregor picks up the story I had been watching for Archie and McPhee to appear, keeping an eye out of one of the kitchen windows, since Athol warned me they would be back soon.
